Frequently Asked Questions
  • Do Schnauzers shed?

No they don't shed but because they don't they require regular brushing to stop the undercoat from matting.

  • Are they hard to keep clean?

They are no harder to keep clean than any of the other colours. Dont be come accessed with bathing or you will remove all the natural oils that help them to keep themselves clean.

  • Do the white schnauzers have skin problems?

They don't have any more skin problems than any of the other colours. To help keep skin healthy only use medicated or natural shampoos and don't bath to often.

  • What size crate do you need?

If you puppy is only going to spent short periods during the day and to sleep at night a 78cm crate is fine even for an adult schnauzer. If it is a wire crate cover it to make it cosy.

This crate added to a play pen is really good for longer periods.

  • What do you feed the puppies?

All our puppies and our adult dogs are raised on Black Hawk. The puppies are on the special puppy food until they are round 1 year old. Because I am a Master Breeder with Black Hawk all our puppies go to their new homes with the Delux Puppy Pack. This includes 3 kg bag of puppy food, treats. Food measure,

Pet milk, poo bags, droolie dog soft toy and milestone cards.

We top this up with more things as well as a comprehensive book about your puppy.

  • When can we take our puppy out?

Your puppy can't go out walking or anywhere until 7 days after ther last vaccination at 16 weeks. This doesn't mean don't take your puppy anywhere. You can take your puppy in a carry bag. (We sell these.) By doing this it still helps your puppy to socialise with out putting your puppy it in danger of catching anything.
